Antique Craft Crafts Concept Design Objects Workshop Retro Jake Von Slatt Keyboard Transformation

Jake von Slatt is the owner of a very special workshop, dedicated to the changing, putting together and creation of unique objects. His work is highly specialized and, mainly, he tries to transform objects you use in your everyday life into alternative concepts, that aren't necessarily useful in any way. However, after looking closely at the dedication and determination of this craftsman, you can't help being impressed by the end result...

In this particular project he wanted to build a retro keyboard that was, at the same time, completely functional and compatible with the demands of a professional typist. In order to achieve this he started off with a well-known IBM keyboard and completely transformed it, creating a unique and stylish object. As you can see by these pictures, the results are impressive.

I really reccomend a visit to Jake's workshop, where this and other impressive projects are exposed with impressive detail. The entire creation process is documented and you can see, aside from dozens of photos, videos with manufacturing details.
