It's, for the time being, only a prototype, as its bold lines show, and it is predicted it will only be commercialized from 2012: the VR Concept is the preview of the sports car of the future. It's the first prototype of the Paulin Motor Company, a Swedish company recently established by designer Daniel Paulin after he left Ford, for which he conceived, among others, the Focus C-Max (2003) and the Focus Concept (2004).
Its lines are vaguely reminiscent of the fabulous Corvette Stingray especially its profile and the shape of the wheels; in its interior, the same retro look is subtly evoked by the instrument panel. But the similarities end there. The VR is an extremely well designed and elegant automobile. Some details are worth noticing, such as the vertical design of the front and back headlights, the door opening system and the glazed hood.
A visit to this website (also beautifully created) and a look at the gallery is well worth it; the 3D animations, on the other hand, are obligatory.
