The Japanese recently invented a new concept in time reading, distant from the indicators in classic watches and digital clocks. The Kyokusen watch is an exclusive of the TokyoFlash brand and seriously reminds us of anything with a inter-dimensional transporter from the most remote and psychedelic films of science fiction! To read the time it is necessary to previously read the instructions...


The concept is simple however it requires some getting used to; a child would learn very fast. The hours are represented by 12 bars in the shape of a letter L which is illuminated as time goes by. On the side, a circle with 12 points represents a conjunct of 5 minutes, as in a conventional indicator. Finally, inside this circle, 4 points correspond to the subdivisions of the major blocks, which means that each one is equivalent to 1 minute…

Now it is possible to acquire one of these machines for 120 USD, approximately. They can be ordered here. It would be best to train a bit first, maybe the instructions come in Japanese...
