In 1989 Melvin Jerome Blanc, better-known as Mel Blanc died. With his death, numerous cartoon characters, such as Bugs, Daffy, Sam, Tweety became silent. Thanks to him - who was literally the man of the thousand voices - the Looney Tunes gained a life and personality of their own. It was him who also gave voice to the Jetsons, the Flinstones, Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry, Mr. Magoo and Woody Woodpecker. Some of the characters even identified with him, as was the case of Bugs Bunny.


The movies he was featured on, including shorts and others - about 1000, as many as his voices - have remained in our memories and, aside from being a cornerstone in animation cinema, have inhabited the imagination of various generations. Let's remember some of those characters...
