Two MIT graduates in Architecture are working on an innovative energy concept. At a time when our planet is beginning to suffer the consequences of the use of fossil fuel, countless iniciatives have been trying to make the production of alternative, clean energy more viable, through extremely creative new concepts. This MIT proposal consists on building a responsive sub-flooring system that would convert the energy of the people who walk on it tnto electricity.
This system would be installed in places where the volume of people is above average - railways stations, for example. The sub-floor consists on a system of blocks that, triggered by human weight and movement, move, transforming mechanical energy into electric energy through the principle of the dynamo.
