Acrobat Photography Illusion Illusionist Li Realism Wei

Born in 1970, in Hubei, China, Li Wei lives in the 2008 Olympics headquarters, Beijing. His work is innovative, different and, why not say it, almost scary. Performing artist, acrobat, illusionist, however many adjectives you can give to describe him, the fact is, Li Wei is truly impressive. And let one thing be clear: as he himself underlines often, he doesn't use photographic editing to do his achievements. He only uses wires, mirrors, scaffolds, acrobatics and, of course, a great deal of courage.

In his latest projects, such as "Li Wei Falls To...", his photographic sequences are breathtaking. But, whatever the name of the exhibition, or the type of work he creates, the outcome is always stunning. The most impossible situations are created, the bizarre realism, the countless possible interpretations; Alas, everytime you hear someone talk about this Chinese artist, beware, it's not going to be anything you've seen before. Li's work can be summed up in the old adage: "An image is worth more than a thousand words". Take a look and judge it for yourself!
