Originally an idea by a group of people in Cardiff, Wales, this phenomenon is fairly recent and is beginning to attrack a true legion of fans, all over the world. The concept is called Sleeveface and consists of taking a picture in which a part of the body is replaced by a vinyl sleeve. If the picture is taken correctly, in the right angle and perspective, it will create the illusion that the album cover has gained a life of its own and is part of the real scenery surrounding it.

Truly impressive what a little imagination and creativity can do. For those of us who own a number of these treasures we call records or LPs, we can also watch this video, which gives us simple and useful instructions on how to take unusual pictures.

Definitely a way to make vinyl record covers fun! I'm going to see if I can make a sleeveface out of a cover I own.
