Night garden powered by solar energy

At night, this garden, plain during the day, comes alive. Huge flowers light up, changing colors and varying in intensity. At the same time, music is played from somewhere unknown. The atmosphere created is of beauty and tranquility and you could even say we were in a heavenly place. However, we are in one the most troubled places in the world: the Night Garden is located in Israel, in the middle of Jerusalem, and was recently opened for the "Light in Jerusalem" festival.

Aside from the grass, nothing in this garden is natural. Everything is cutting edge technology. The flowers are made out of steel structures, through metallic networks, and the petals are made from glass cut by laser. The light is produced by multi-colored LEDs, powered by a system of solar panels. The project, created by O*GE together with the Israel Electric Corporation, tries to show the importance of the use of green alternative energy. At night, the entire building does not use more than 1300 watts per hour.
