The French self-taugh Dominique Regnier, born in 1951, was, for many years, a publicity photographer of the automobilist industry around Paris. He got retired of this career and since almost one decade he dedicates his body and soul to the feminine sculpture. Above all, he intends to transmit an extreme eroticism through uncommon materials to this kind of job, paying attention to the voluptuous details of a woman.
His raw material goes from the marble, the granite and the bronze to various kinds of wood, as walnut, ash, ilex and ebony. His works go beyond using pieces of unattached material, appealing sometimes to dead trees still rooted and fixed in the final place where the sculpture will lie. At his website you can see lots of images and also the way Dominique works, sometimes using models. The erotic charge of the sculptures undeniable and audacious.
