Mike Ross is an architect who has been projecting buildings and sculptures at a monumental scale since 1998. Among his many works of art, the big rig jig, in the middle of the Nevada desert (USA), is a stand- out.
In order to bring to life this true challenge to the laws of gravity, a structure able to sustain the weight of both trucks and balance them vertically was projected for months. After a careful planning, Mike Ross and a broad group of volunteers started to solder the various parts to a steel structure weighting about 25 tons, 15-meters tall, a huge challenge, given the means in which the project was developed. The result, however, was astounding, sheer madness that reminds us of a similar sculpture from the Goodwood speed festival.
