Face your pockets: belongings and its owners

The expression "Face your pockets!" has several possibilities of meaning. Here, it's a project released by the Russian students Timur Akhmetov and Yulia Yakushova wirh a taste for challenge: the participants have to empty the pockets of bags, or clothes and put the objects with the owner's face on a scanner.

It's a full-of-meaning simple purpose: what do we have forgotten or lost inside our pockets? What these small (or not too small) pieces speak about who we are, our tastes and our quotidian? Through "Face your Pockets", those people and their little details are highlighted, helping to tell a little bit about the life of hundreds of people and their cultures at the native countries.

To make your capture, take the bags you use the most and empty their pockets. Select the candies, clasps, movie tickets, medical prescriptions, fire-lighters, cellphones and what else you believe that tells about your personality and put on the scanner. Well done: now, you have to decide how you want to face and put yourself inside this temporary panel -- but pay attention: do not open your eyes while the scanner is working. If this happens, do no follow the light of the scanner tray with your eyes.

When everything's ready, send your personal art to faceyourpockets@gmail.com with your name, occupation and the list of objects you captured. The images must be configured to the A4 format, with resolution of 300 dpi and be saved on *.gif or *.jpg and the published at the project homepage.

And here we ask: what do you have inside your pockets? Leave a comment with your answer and let us know you better.
